Sunday we will continue our journey in the Book of Philippians and we will consider chapter 1, verses 3-8, for a second time. The instruction is just what we need at this time. Through the Apostle Paul, the Lord will teach us what it should mean for a church fellowship to have genuine affection and joy toward one another.
We had a wonderful turnout for our church wide Thanksgiving meal. I have heard from several of you regarding the commissioning service for the Pastor Search Committee that was held just before the meal. The covenants of the committee and church were meaningful; now we must fulfill the obligations we made to one another. Your continued prayer support for the PSC will be greatly appreciated – Scott Bennett, Terry Connell, Sammy Diggins, Ronnie Griffin, John Holland, and Chris Noegel.
Many thanks to the Deacons and church family for your kind expression of appreciation to your pastoral staff. Bro. Kenny, Bro. Landon and I are grateful for the privilege to serve Tabernacle Baptist Church and we are most thankful for your prayers and your gifts.
I trust you will have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. If you are traveling, please be safe.
As always, I am looking forward to what God will do at Tabernacle this coming Sunday. Please be present with your Bibles in hand as we worship the Lord together.
Blessings, and Go Jackets!, YFJS, Bro Tom
