Pastor's Blog: Pastor Appreciation

I am writing on Monday morning following your kind recognition of Pastor Appreciation yesterday, November 8. I am humbled at your kindness towards Pastor Kenny, Pastor Landon and me. It has been my great joy to serve as your Interim Pastor and one on the greatest blessings has to been serve alongside Brother Kenny and Brother Landon. As a church we are truly blessed to have these men on our staff. I want to thank you again for your many kind comments regarding the messages I have been preaching recently.

This coming Sunday, November 15, we will continue in Daniel chapter 7 and consider a very important part of Daniel’s vision, “The Ancient of Days.” This is a significant title for our Great God and one that brings to mind images of the throne in heaven and the worship of God that will be beyond what words can describe.

Wednesday is Veteran’s Day. To my fellow Veterans I say thank you! It was an honor to serve alongside you to protect the freedoms we have so long cherished in America. These are tough days for our republic and we must continue to pray and seek the mercy of God for our land. Never has there been a time that Second Chronicles 7:14 was more needed in our churches!

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Sunday School is Back! Please join us each week at 9:15 am! Please pray for your teacher and plan to be present with your family. We are having a blessed time in the book of Proverbs.

Wednesday night Bible Study and Prayer Meeting are back! Please join us each Wednesday at 6:15 pm as we study the book, “The Church,” by Jeffrey Johnson.

As always, I am looking forward to what God will do at Tabernacle this coming Sunday. Please be present with your Bibles in hand as we worship the Lord together!

Blessings, YFJS, Bro. Tom
