It was a great joy to get our next Bible book study underway last Sunday with the Introduction to First John. We will start working our way through this important New Testament epistle this coming Sunday with the Message, “True Religion,” from chapter 1:1-4. What is true religion? Is your religious experience valid? Do you know that you know?
FAMILY WOW (Worship on Wednesday)! starts this week! Wednesday evenings are going to be very special and we want to encourage you to make this a regular part of your weekly activities. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and family to join us. We will have a worship service with a purpose to reach younger families. We will sing praise and worship type music, pray and preach God’s Word. This will combine with our outstanding children’s and student ministries. Miss Melba and Pastor Landon have been doing a great job with our kids and students. We want families to make this an important part of worshiping the Lord together. Pray, plan to attend, participate, and invite others to join you. We will be changing the starting time to 6:30 pm and will do our best to finish up by 7:30 pm. The Great Room will be open at 5:30 for fellowship. Please bring your own meal and we can eat and fellowship together!
We will begin preaching from the book of Hebrews this Wednesday, May 19. Hebrews is an important New Testament letter from which we can learn much about the character of our Lord Jesus Christ, the plan of redemption, and the call for faithful discipleship in the lives of believers.
As always, I am looking forward to what God will do at Tabernacle this coming Sunday! Please be present with your Bibles in hand as we worship the Lord together!
