A new year holds great potential, don’t you agree? I’m excited about the coming year at TBC and I trust that you are planning and working, praying and worshipping, with great expectation for God to move gloriously among us.
Our commission as a church is to reach the nations with the gospel for the glory of God. We will be going door-to-door this coming Sunday, Jan. 12 at 4 pm, to our community sharing the gospel. Please come and join us – this is what the church has been called to do. If you are unfamiliar with how to do it, we will pair you with someone who does know. If you are unable physically to walk that much and get out door-to-door please come and pray for us from the church while we go.
Wednesday night – we are doing a very important study! Join us at 6:15 for prayer meeting as we work through Thom Rainer’s “Autopsy of a Deceased Church.” There will be opportunity for discussion and we will gain much insight on where we’ve been, where we are and where we want to go as a church. Your input is crucial.
I have heard many compliments on the message, “Joy in the Ministry,” from last Sunday. If you did not hear it, please go to the website or the church’s You Tube page and listen. I believe it will be a blessing to you. We dealt with understanding difficulty from the Christian perspective. This coming Sunday, we will continue on a similar theme. The title of the message is, “Defeating Disappointment.” Have you been disappointed, discouraged, perhaps even to the point of despair or depression? God’s plan is better, it is higher and more noble. God can and will give you the victory over disappointment! Read Philippians 1:19-26 and come prepared to hear a Word from God.
As always, I am looking forward to what God will do at Tabernacle this coming Sunday. Please be present with your Bibles in hand as we worship the Lord together.
Blessings, YFJS, Bro Tom
