Day 1
Scripture: Daniel 10:10-12
Discussion: In the Sermon Notes, Bro. Tom makes the point that “to get the encouragement Daniel received here you need to learn to pray like him.” Examine these verses in Daniel 10, and see what lessons you can learn about Daniel’s prayer life. How does your prayer life measure up?

Day 2
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 7:1
Discussion: In the passage in Daniel listed above in “Day 1,” Bro. Tom states that “the fear of the Lord is the starting point—holiness is the result” and references 2 Corinthians 7:1. In this passage, the apostle Paul tells us to “cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit.” What does that mean and how do we accomplish that? What does it mean to bring “holiness to completion in the fear of God”?

Day 3
Scripture: Daniel 10:13-21
Discussion: These sober passages of Scripture inform us that there is a spiritual battle occurring in ways that we cannot see. We must be reminded of this ultimate reality, but let us not fear as believers, for Christ is sovereign over all! How might recognizing the spiritual battle going on around us impact our understanding of what happens in this life? Do you think it would help us to take our spiritual lives more seriously?
