Day 1
Scripture: Daniel 9:20-23
Discussion: As we look into this passage, we see “Godly Prayer and Gracious Provision.” In a recent sermon, Bro. Tom encouraged us to pray through portions of Daniel 9 and ask the Lord to do something in your life, whatever you believe the Lord is calling you to pray as you read through Daniel 9. I would encourage you to do the same if you have not done so already, and spend some time thanking the Lord for hearing the prayers that we offer in accordance with His Word.

Day 2
Scripture: Daniel 9:24
Discussion: In Daniel 9:24, we see “Glorious Providence and Gracious Purposes.” The Lord rules and reigns over all things. In particular, we see in Daniel 9:24 that God has several specific purposes in mind for human history. In other words, God had a plan, and He also has a plan for us in our day as well! Spend some time praying for the Lord’s will to be done in various areas of our lives: family, church, government, etc.

Day 3
Scripture: Daniel 9:25-27
Discussion: These verses speak of “Great Prophecies and a Gaping Parenthesis.” Here we find that God is meticulous and detailed in the prophecies He has given to us through Daniel. We also see that we are in a period of grace. Thank God that He has delayed His Second Coming and subsequent judgment to save sinners! Pray by name for a lost coworker, friend, etc., that they might come to faith in Christ before it’s too late!
